How do you hire a truck?
Truck hire is not nearly as complicated as you may think. There are a few choices that you will have to make such as the type and size of truck, but rest assured that our sales team will help you make the right choice based on your transport needs.
To book a truck through us, all you need to do is give us a call on 0861 44 55 44. Before calling us, please make sure have the following information ready:
- Pickup and delivery addresses
- Details of what is being transported
- Rental date
- Your contact details
Based on this information, we will advise you on what type and sized truck to rent and calculate a quote.
We will then send a quote to you by email and upon acceptance and payment, we will book a vehicle out for you.
Our Rental Fleet
At Power Truck Hire, we stock various truck configurations and sizes. Our trucks come in three core configurations. These include:
- Panel vans
- Curtain Sides
- Drop sides
Their load capacities range between 1.6tons and 14 tons. We also stock a fleet of line-haul vehicles that have load capacities of up to 32 tons.
Additional Information
Truck Drivers – For short term rentals, we will provide you with an experienced driver who will collect and deliver your load. For medium to long term rentals, we give you the option to use your own driver but the driver must have the relevant South African truck driver’s licence and they must be over the age of 25.
Assistants – We also give you the option to hire additional assistants to help you with the loading and off-loading of your rented vehicle.
Insurance – Our truck hire rates include insurance but we do give you the choice to “self-insure” your rented vehicle. If you need more information on the self-insure option, please speak to one of our sales consultants.
